History

For 26 years the committee of the GV Field Days has been staging an event for farmers and businesses from around the region, which showcases the latest technologies in farming practices, breeding programs, on-farm computer hardware, pasture management, animal health, irrigation systems and whole-farm planning to name a few. As you may have noticed, the 2008 event will see a change in the name of our long-established event in Stanhope and will now be known as the GV Field Days. The field days are a Stanhope and District Community Project and involve just about every family in the Stanhope region. This is a vital event for our community, with funds raised ploughed back into local community groups, sporting clubs and projects through our Funds Distribution program.

Since 1982 more than $850,000 has been donated to great local initiatives, such as the development of the new Community Bendigo Bank in Stanhope, new light towers for the Stanhope Football Club, donations to the Rushworth Hospital and Aged Care Hostel to name a few. All the money raised from the event goes towards raising funds that benefi t your community. So be part of the 2008 GV Field Days and support the event that supports you.
